About the Role
ServiceNow is Swiss Re’s strategic technology platform for Enterprise Service Management that we use to offer a centralized, integrated, and standardized set of service management processes and custom-built applications. Over the last 13 years we have developed around 50 applications on the ServiceNow platform with customized features that are used extensively not just by all our employees worldwide but also Swiss Re’s clients.
In this role as ESM DevSecOps Engineer, you will:
- translate ideas of our users into user friendly solutions on top of the ServiceNow platform
- interact with our partners and team members

As part of Swiss Re's Enterprise Group Technology Services organization, the Enterprise Service Management (ESM) Platform Area team supports the Product Areas in designing, developing, and operating innovative and value-creating Enterprise Service Management solutions. The ESM team ensures balancing of short-term and long-term value creation for the business while maintaining an aligned, and standardized ESM platform. It handles all involved software, solutions and DevSecOps related vendors and suppliers. Furthermore, it ensures audit and compliance requirements are met and that the required resource skills and capacities are available in a sustainable way. As a matter of trust, we give you a high degree of flexibility which matches your independent working style.

Your outstanding engineering skills provide you with the ability to develop using JavaScript, design and implement data models and REST APIs, implement server and client scripts on an advanced level, and design and implement service portals with an eye for UI/UX. Designing ACLs, implementing SAML/OAuth concepts, as well as analysing instance performance issues are no strangers to you. You have worked with HTML/CSS, AJAX, JSON and AngularJS. Your passion is getting things done. You thrive when working in a strong engineering culture and have an understanding of multi-cultural teamwork and help others in your team to achieve their full potential. You strive to share team expertise and help us increase our Agile maturity.
