About the Role

To evolve our digital cargo proposition, we are looking for a Market Intelligence / Business Development Analyst eager to contribute to identifying and developing viable business and distribution opportunities that are key for implementing our digital strategy. In your role you will be focussing on:

• Professionalising our market intelligence framework to support opportunity development
• Evolving our sales analytics practice to improve our digital business performance
• Further developing our commercial approach and pricing methodology

Key responsibilities:

• Monitor logistics and insurtech trends linked with our strategic priorities and targets to identify emerging key industry needs and related risks opportunities (market and competitor analysis)
• Benchmark our proposition against competitors, identify and propose tactical improvements to ensure competitiveness across targeted markets (benchmarking/competitor analysis)
• Establish and maintain a systematic approach to identifying, assessing, and qualifying business opportunities along defined selection criteria and KPIs (pipeline management)
• Monitor, analyse and improve digital business performance to identify key sales drivers and develop tactics to expand commercial uptake and ensure long-term profitability (sales analytics)
• Contribute to evolve our pricing methodology by leveraging customer, commercial and proprietary risk data to maximise pricing accuracy for our product-mix (dynamic pricing)
• Develop and execute our business development techniques to expand our distribution footprint (lead generation)

Your outstanding interpersonal skills allow you to adapt your communication to different audiences and situations and make it easy for you to collaborate with others. You can easily deal with uncertainty, differences in opinion and expectations, are a good listener, team-player, and are sensible about cultural differences.

Essentials:

• University degree (Master's equivalent) in economics, data/behavioral science, mathematics, or a relevant field
• 3 years of working experience in market intelligence and/or business development
• Proven track-record in improving digital business performance (eg. adoption/conversion/churn)
• Knowledgeable in market Intelligence frameworks (ie., competitor, product, customer analysis)
• Experience in developing digital customer profiling and /or dynamic pricing methodologies
• Wizard with producing and presenting findings, scenarios, and actionable recommendations
• Solid understanding of digital business model and related differentiating factors
• Clear and effective communication in English, any other language a plus

Nice to haves:

• Experience in insur-/fintech, logistics, supply chain, e-commerce sectors
• Understanding of insurance business models like embedded insurance
• Knowledge of dynamic pricing mechanisms and/or behavioural analytics
