About the Role 

We are seeking an Automated Underwriting System Analyst who will be a member of our global Solutions team. You will be instrumental in evolving and supporting our Automated Underwriting tool Magnum that is deployed with over 80 clients globally.

Your role will involve design, specification, development, testing and continuous improvement of the underwriting rules that underpin the benefit Magnum brings to our clients.

Magnum is a strategic solution which enables our clients digital transformation based on a combination of best-in-class risk management and new technologies. The main responsibilities include:

• You will identify, analyze and interpret key information relevant to underwriting of life and health products to build efficient standard practice Automated Underwriting Rules.
• Producing clear specification documents, implementing Automated UW Rules, building and executing unit and scenario tests.
• Working through timelines and within defined processes. • The ability to analyze data and underwriting outcomes to improve rule performance will compliment your core responsibilities.

Personality requirements and skills

About You

• Experience in IT industry, Banking, financial services or insurance sector with exposure in the IT projects
• Experience working with automated underwriting systems, automated UW rule writing and testing is helpful
• Well-developed decision-making and problem-solving capabilities. Familiarity with Business Analysis tools or Process engineering a plus
• Ability to establish trust & maintain positive relationships with the team, market underwriters and other important partners.
• Understanding of Java/Javascript is considered advantageous
• Good knowledge of SDLC and Agile Methodology is preferred along with proficient IT skills including ability to apply some of the advanced features of Word/Excel/Access / JIRA tool
