Join our new Underwriting Treaty Data Center within Business Services team based in Bratislava and become an Underwriting Treaty Data Analyst in a team of dynamic and skilled professionals!


About the team

We are a newly created team of Data Analysts within dynamic, multinational and highly engaged Business Services team. Our aim is to fully utilize client risk information data, via systematic analysis, consolidation, cleansing, preparation and ingestion of received client data. We are unlocking a wealth of advanced analytics opportunities for improvement of Swiss Re targets and enabling further automation, while at the same time we enable Market Units and Product Underwriting to focus on the Swiss Re clients.


About the role

You will have overall responsibility for the Data Ingestion of Treaty underwriting data for transactional and analytics purposes.

You will be dealing with risk information such as client loss data, premium, policy and risk profiles to refine market curves, default and portfolio loss ratios and other key parameters for the costing. You will also be responsible for transactional processing during renewals of reinsurance business, and thus help achieve Property&Casualty Reinsurance its ambitious targets. You will be using different tools for semi-automated data input and in addition, you will be working on improving these semi-automated data process targeting further automation.


Key responsibilities:

• Analysis and consolidation of costing data received from the clients
• Preparation and ingestion of costing data received from the clients into Swiss Re's core systems
• Collaborating closely with Product Underwriters/ Client Underwriters/ Actuaries
• Establishing deep knowledge of the end to end data ingestion process, standards and best practices
• Providing thought leadership and direction as well as promoting best practices to the new colleagues within Bratislava and in other regions such as Asia and the US

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

You are a responsible, independent, proactive and dedicated teammate who has a strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, high level of confidence/practical know how in working with large data files and is able to prioritize and work within given deadlines.

Essentials:

• Excellent analytical skills
• Data and tech savviness
• MS excel advanced
• Language skills: English fluent

Nice-to-have:

• Degree in natural science or a quantitative field (Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Sciences) of advantage, position is suitable also for graduates
• P&C (Re)insurance knowledge & experience of advantage
• Modelling or previous underwriting experience for property and casualty of advantage
• Additional European language of advantage
