About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to support us in the design and the development of our insurance data and analytics platform. You will participate in the integration of data pipelines across the entire insurance value chain along with business stakeholders and in close collaboration with our analytics and other engineering teams. The role includes the following responsibilities:
• Improve our cloud-based data infrastructure (Amazon AWS)
Design, build and deploy data pipelines, implement automated workflow
• Clean, prepare and deliver data at scale for integration and consumption
• Lead all aspects of the data acquisition, ingestion, and staging
• Partner with business analysts, engineers, and data scientists to understand their data needs
• Ensure a strong focus on data quality, data governance and data management best practices
• Contribute to the data architecture and data mesh design
• Build close relationship with SwissRe Group IT and Data Services

• PySpark is a plus ETL design and implementation experience with cloud-based or traditional tools data mart implementation, data quality and data profiling
• Experience in finance or insurance industry
• Experience in data engineering in any language (Python, SQL, Java, Kotlin …)
