About the role

The role is within GIR Investment Analysis team focused on comprehensive accounting assessments and analysis for different financial instruments. As a student in our GIR department you will be involved in the regular activities of the team as well as supporting process enhancements.

Main duties

• Preparation of accounting assessments under IFRS
• Supporting the cooperation with other departments within Swiss Re
• Analysing the specific instruments' characteristics
• Preparation of supporting documentation for month-end activities
• Completion of ad hoc tasks assigned by the team
• Participation in the improvements of processes
• Working with internal, external systems and various software applications

About the team

The Global Investment Reporting (GIR) is part of Group Finance and has ownership of sub-ledger accounting and reporting for investments for both Group IFRS and Local Statutory valuations.

• University student, preferably Accounting or Finance/Banking
• Finance/Accounting experience is an advantage
• English proficient written and spoken
• Very good comprehension of MS Office (e.g., Excel, Word, Power Point)
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking
• Teammate with a strong communication skill
• Flexible and open for new tasks/challenges, willing to learn
