With more than USD 120 bn of assets under management, Swiss Re Asset Management manages the assets generated through the core insurance and reinsurance business. With the advent of technologies such as cognitive computing, smart analytics or machine learning the reinsurance area will radically change in the next years in terms of distribution, underwriting and administration of insurance protection. As a recognized leader in the industry, Swiss Re is running numerous use cases and is building up research and development units utilizing state of the art digital analytics to offer actionable research and transformational opportunities.

The Technology Governance team within Operations Technology unit is responsible for maintaining good posture of cyber security and governance topics for the applications in the Asset Management Technology & Analytics space. This includes close collaboration with Swiss Re's Chief Security Office and advisory to our product owners and security ambassadors.



About the Role

As IT Governance and Security Consultant, you will:

• Provide consultancy and support Product Owners on information security topics for a compliant and secure application landscape. Liaise with internal Governance, Cybersecurity and Audit functions.
• Ensure a thorough execution of Information security standards and best practices – incl. application security assessments, penetration testing, application vulnerability hardening, operational resilience and disaster recovery programs
• Maintain and oversee all elements necessary for good technology governance in AM. You will strongly contribute to AM Governance framework, by acting as a subject matter expert and overseeing the framework's implementation

Personality requirements and skills

An experience in IT risk-related roles, such as IT Governance, IT audit, or operational risk management
• Experience with Cyber and Information Security
• Knowledge of practices of IT Disaster Recovery or Operational Resilience • Ability to track, flag and resolve adherence to standards in conjunction with the respective product teams
• Existing domain knowledge, inherent interest to stay on top of emerging technologies
