Job description, responsibilities and duties

Legal & Compliance Business Management is the central team within Legal & Compliance division (L&C). We support the Chief Legal Officer in the strategic direction and operational execution, and the divisional departments in delivering effective and efficient legal and compliance services. Main responsibilities of the team are to coordinate all processes and initiatives within the division. Specific focus is on financial management, outside counsel management, tool ownership and support, divisional communications, project management and process improvements.

We are team of 10 members in Bratislava and Zurich, supporting broad range of topics. We value diversity of background and skillset each team member brings in the team.

You will play an important role both within the L&C Division as well as interactions with colleagues from various operations teams such as finance, sourcing, HR, etc. This role provides you the opportunity to expand your knowledge and expertise in both operational and L&C aspects which can be further applied within Swiss Re.

Divisional Operations
• Support divisional processes related to financials, workforce planning, communications, records management and operational risk management
• Support the preparation of regular and ad hoc reporting and presentations from a data analysis and content perspective
• Develop and maintain various divisional dashboards
• Support the coordination of other Group Operations and divisional projects, initiatives and tasks

Support for Group wide used tools
• Supporting L&C tools, gathering and documenting requirements for projects
• Interacting with business users, communicating with vendors, testing changes, project support, training, supporting functional & IT teams
• Run reports from the various tools
• Continually seek ways to improve and streamline the tools and processes

Outside Counsel Management
• Support the sourcing process of handling outside counsel by maintaining oversight of all letters of engagement by logging them in the Swiss Re contract tool, documenting key reference information for users and reviewing purchase orders for sourcing outside counsel
• Support the quarterly review of outside counsel by performing detailed spend and savings analysis and other operational performance indicators, collect data and prepare management reporting
• Maintain content on intranet and other knowledge sharing platforms, conduct training
• General business support to lawyers within L&C and other functions re outside counsel process/requirements/info requests
• Support implementation of an encryption solution with new law firms

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

University degree preferably in business administration, computer science or engineering.
3+ years professional and relevant work experience.

• Fluency and excellent communication skills in English required
