Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

1.Provide timely and accurate Non-technical accounting tasks according to internal guidelines, regulatory and Group requirements, including closing and reporting of defined entities
2.Ensure timely booking of accruals, payroll, fixed assets, VAT, WHT, intercompany recharges (including their settlement), and other non-technical accounting activities
3.Support financial controlling of selected entities with focus on group requirements (payable/receivable sign-offs, reconciliations for the accounts under the ownership, and related tasks)
4.Provide accurate financial information to the management to enable timely and current decisions to be made
5.Financial reporting to local tax teams
6.Ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and the audit requirements
7.Support audit activities and prepare requested information
8.Participate and support Finance related projects and perform ad hoc tasks as required
9.Identify and evaluate process improvement possibilities

About the team:

We are responsible for supporting the European & Asian branches of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Ltd and Swiss Re International SE according to internal guidelines, Luxembourg and US GAAP accounting policies and local tax requirements. As a member of the team you support legal entity and branch accounting, controlling and reporting activities. You seek possibilities to further develop, streamline and improve the team's delivery processes and collaboration with our partners.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

1.You have three to five years of work experience in accounting/financial reporting
2.You are qualified in Accounting, Audit, Finance and/or university degree in Economics, Science or Business Administration
3.CPA/ACCA certification or equivalent is your advantage
4.Knowledge of accounting and regulatory frameworks
5.Understanding of financial reporting processes, risk and controls
6.Experience in the use of standard bookkeeping software for financial accounting
7.Proven PC skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
8.Great teammate with good communication skills
9.You are engaged and motivated
10.Fluent written and spoken English; Additional languages are of advantage and welcomed
