Job description, responsibilities and duties
About the Role
• Investment Transactions Management Analyst will perform day-to-day activities of the team, related to all Asset Management (and also non-AM) securities and cash flows, including interactions with custodians, brokers and IT.
• Position will also hold responsibility for creating and maintaining proper controls so that day-to-day activities are adhered to for a controlled and low risk environment.
• In addition to the day-to-day requirements, this position places a significant emphasis on Ad-hoc projects to support innovations and systems enhancements within AM BS.
Key responsibilities:
• Full control and supervision of payments/settlements/corporate actions for Asset Management Business Services
• Full control and supervision of payment/settlement confirmations with external parties and support post-settlement reconciliation
• Monitoring and avoiding money laundering or fraud activities
• Request and confirm standard settlement instruction setup across relevant system landscape
• Monitor and respond to all e-mails in team e-mail boxes, resolution of complex queries from stakeholders
• Troubleshooting all exceptions within team's day-to-day processes
• Coordinate and implement testing for all AM system updates
• BCM backup for other key business unit tasks.
• Direct interaction with Internal and External Audit, Risk Management, and Compliance
• Directs continuous improvement activities of operational processes to increase efficiencies, enhance quality, reduce costs, standardize systems, and/or add value for the company
• Coordinate and supervise the development of AMBS objectives, and monitor departmental goals and action plans efficiently
• Perform and coordinate knowledge exchange and transfer between the peers on global scale

This is an opportunity for you to join our Investment Transactions Management team whose purpose is to confirm and settle all trades executed by our internal portfolio managers and payments related to trading activities. You will confirm the trades and cash flows with counter-parties and brokers, monitor until their successful settlement and resolve issues or discrepancies. We have direct exposure to the market and get involved in different projects and initiatives following business strategy, regulatory requirements and changes.

Our team belongs to the Asset Management (AM) function which is ultimately responsible for managing assets that Swiss Re generates through its core insurance and reinsurance businesses.
