Job description, responsibilities and duties

About the role
In this role your responsibilities will include:
Establishing, executing and steering the end to end Data Governance operations, including the data model, processes and tools - focusing on constant improvement of data quality and efficiency
Cross functional collaboration and cooperation with the FM community being Asset Management, Finance, Risk and IT.
Communicating, embedding and monitoring agreed Data Governance principles and standards within the FM community.
Keeping track of breaches and executing escalation processes
Collecting data quality issues, and implementing processes to analyse, prioritise and resolve them
Completing and updating the data dictionary, definitions, ownership and source(s)
Managing and delivering Data Governance related projects
Defining and reporting data quality KPIs, as well as data quality issues and status of related projects
Supporting in preparing and executing the Data Governance Board and Data Quality Forum meetings

About the team
In this role you will gain hands-on experience and develop an excellent understanding of the Data Governance topic and operations across the Financial Markets (FM) Domain. You will work in a cross-functional, multi-cultural and senior management environment, and will have an opportunity to enhance your analytical and problem solving skills.
We are looking for a professional, motivated and energetic Data Governance Specialist to join the Data Governance Team within Group Asset Management.

Personality requirements and skills

About You
Background:
Bachelor, Master or equivalent degree
4-6 years of work experience within a multinational financial services organisation
At least basic understanding of financial markets and/or an affinity in the area of data management or data operations

Skills:
Strong MS PowerPoint (primary communications medium), Excel and Word skills
Excellent command of English, written and verbal; German would be advantageous
Hands-on approach to work, with tested organizational capabilities and ability so set priorities and meet deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills - able to facilitate discussions and present ideas, as well as manage expectations
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to express complex issues in a clear and concise fashion
Proven client service orientation and relationship builder with a well-developed professional presence
Ability to focus on details without losing track of the big picture
Works effectively and sensitively under pressure, and with multiple stakeholders
