About the Role
In your role you will be part of the Finance Group Operations (FGO) Governance team in Bratislava, a newly established team providing guidance, information and a strong risk & control framework to support the objectives of FGO and Swiss Re.

Our division, FGO, reports directly to the Group COO and the Group CFO of Swiss Re, offering you ample career opportunities within the unit and beyond. In FGO we manage the cost for the entire Group, drive performance management holistically of Group Operations, and we execute cash & cost operations for the entire Swiss Re Group. In this role, you will
• Have a deep end-to-end understanding of the processes and solid understanding of risks in the Accounts Payable area;
• Constantly identify process improvements and drive their implementation;
• Maintain and oversee process and control documentation and operating procedures in Accounts Payable;
• Perform Operational Risk Self-Assessment and support Operational Events and Issues reporting, perform root cause analysis, support design and implementation of management actions and monitor progress of resolution;
• Analyse and understand data out of system and prepare various reports to management;
• Contribute to Group-wide as well as FGO-specific projects with a governance element to ensure risk and controls are addressed and you will be involved in the change management process;
• Liaison with members of Coordinated Assurance Functions (Governance, Operational Risk Management team, Group Internal Audit) and external auditors;
• Collaborate with other teams - Accounts Payable, Payment & Receipt and Treasury and your colleagues in Governance FGO; and
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks as required from time to time

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

• University degree in the area of finance, accounting, economics or similar.
• 3-5 years' experience ideally gained from internal or external audit or consultancy.
• Ability to familiarise quickly with new IT systems and tools and proficiency in handling data. Knowledge of SAP or Oracle is an advantage.
• Self-motivated and self-starter with personal dedication to succeed and achieve results. The ability to collaborate with others and contribute to a high-performance team in order to achieve common goals. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• The inner drive to do things better, to meet and exceed goals and to keep improving things through creativity and innovation.
• Proficient with MS Office applications including Excel, Word and Power Point Access.
• You speak English fluently, you have no problem to write emails and collaborate via Skype. We consider as your advantage if you speak any other European language.
• Languages skills: English fluent written and spoken (minimum C1).
