Job description, responsibilities and duties

The L&C Operations Junior Associate supports the Head of L&C Divisional Operations Office and the team in outside counsel management and other Legal & Compliance operational tasks.
The team consisting of seven individuals located in Zurich and Bratislava is focusing on the Operations side of Legal, Compliance, L&C Projects and Tools.

Outside Counsel Management
• Support the sourcing process of managing outside counsel by maintaining oversight of all Letters of Engagement by logging them in the Swiss Re contract tool, documenting key reference information for users and reviewing and approving purchase orders for sourcing outside counsel.
• Support the quarterly review of outside counsel by performing detailed spend and savings analysis and other operational KPIs.

Operations
• Support the preparation of regular and ad hoc reporting and presentations from a data analysis and content perspective
• Maintain and update various Divisional data, SharePoint lists, dashboard data
• Support the coordination of other Divisional operational initiatives and tasks as necessary.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Education and experience
• University degree preferably in business administration or law
• Approx. 1 year professional work experience
• Fluency and excellent communication skills in English required
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem solving skills, strong attention to detail

• Self-starter and team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently but also part of a global team
• Prioritisation and organisational skills
