Job description, responsibilities and duties

Asset Management MO Portfolio Monitoring team is responsible for 1) regular compliance monitoring of legal entities, mandates and other regulatory requirements and 2) reporting of various attributes related to externally managed investments and manager assessment process. Standard monitoring, reporting and assessment responsibilities are performed on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, ensuring high quality of completed tasks. The team is involved in direct discussions with front office and back office as well, providing clear and transparent picture of investment activities within Swiss Re Asset Management. Besides regular tasks, the team is responsible for ad hoc requests from other stakeholders, which might require flexibility in work allocation and open communication within the team.

As a MO Portfolio Monitoring Team Leader, he/she ensures that all tasks are performed according to procedures and directions in a high quality standard and in time. MO Portfolio Monitoring Team leader assures that the team is aware of its responsibilities, sets clear priorities and assigns the tasks within his team. He/she is responsible for proper priority settings and deputation. He/she further is accountable for managing the team, including goal setting, performance reviews, HR related tasks, providing guidance and leadership to the team and handles various other managerial topics as required. At the same time, the person initiates, participates and coordinates various initiatives and projects, focusing on development, testing and implementation of new tools, processes and systems.

• Ensure performance and completeness of regular and ad-hoc processes; participate on them if required
• Ensure correctness and quality of performed tasks and responsibilities
• Communicate with stakeholders internally as well as externally
• Provide AM with various reporting and business support queries
• Participate on project work - development, implementation and testing of new tools, processes
• Support simplification and automations of existing processes
• Manage the team and perform all activities related to the team management and people leadership including goal setting, performance review, training, development of people and hiring new team members
• Identify and plan actions needed to accomplish all goals set up for the team
• Regularly inform manager about the team updates

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

University degree in finance/ banking/investments.
3-5 year of relevant work experience in the financial services.
Demonstrable knowledge of a broad range of financial markets and its products.

• Very good oral and written communication skills in English
• Strong communication skills
• Very good know how of MS Office, specifically MS Excel
• Strong analytical skills and detail orientation
• Diligent and accurate working style, proven customer orientation
• Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
• An additional plus is any international experience and dealings with other cultures
