Job description, responsibilities and duties

Improved data management is a key objective at Swiss Re. There is a team established to meet this important challenge, positioned to collect data from multiple sources before analysing and delivering output to stakeholders assisting and supporting the Life and Health Business Management team in delivering transparency for the in-force business portfolio. We are looking for someone to join our team for 6 to 9 months and help in reaching our targets successfully.
The role will require the candidate to format and map data gathered from clients to a standardized format in data warehouse according to detailed definition supplied by Data Management team members. Successful candidate will be eager to learn, with flair for information technology and capability to bring creative solutions to the table.

- formatting and mapping of L&H policy and claims data from various European markets into desired standard format
- testing and documenting evidence of successful conversion
- anonymising sets to comply with data protection standard to enable further processing in systems and by teams outside EU/CH areas

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University student
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

- Analytical skills with interest in information systems, reports and data
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Basic understanding of programming and data warehousing is advantage
- Self-driven, hands on and a team-player
- Flexible and open minded - committed to a permanent learning experience
- Good command of English (written and spoken)
