Job description, responsibilities and duties

The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for development and implementation of learning activities (e.g. trainings, workshops and sessions) for professional and leadership enhancements of employee skills in line with the global HR policies and local Bratislava specifics.

• Delivery of Swiss Re Academy training professional and leadership programmes and initiatives in Bratislava aligned with needs of the business.
• Design and deliver training and workshops in line with the needs of the location.
• Provide workshops design and facilitation, on-demand consulting.
• Support learning activities with regards to organization and administration of internal and external education.
• Communicate with vendors and suppliers with regards to the design and delivery activities.
• Support other activities that may occur in the connection of training execution.
• Support development activities, e.g. mentoring programs, coaching programs, job rotations, development centres.
• Support and advice line managers in the area of talent development and talent management.
• Provide global and regional coordination and/or project deliverables related to the implementation of talent management products or services in order to improve organizational and individual effectiveness.
• Cooperate closely within HR team in Bratislava, supporting other HR activities when possible.
• Support on-boarding process, e.g. presentations, lectures.
• Ensuring that the services are delivered in time and have perfect quality meeting the internal costumer's expectations.
• Execute on methods to measure impact of programmes and solutions.
• Deployment of global Swiss Re initiatives primarily in Bratislava. Support SR regional projects, primarily involvement and coordination.

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• 3 years of relevant experience in HR area in L&D or talen management.
• Experience from large international company idealy in financial sector
• Proven ability to effectively and independently execute the projects, in a structured, organized and transparent manner.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Facilitation skills required.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Slovak language.
• Excellent client service attitude.
• Strong teamwork & collaboration skills.
• Experience with coaching would be an advantage.
• Basic understanding of reinsurance or the financial industry would be an advantage.
