Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
The position holder will focus on developing and supporting market data and reference data solutions for Asset Management and other stakeholders in a wider Financial Markets domain of Swiss Re.
- Enhancement and maintenance of the existing central Market Data tool Asset Control
- 3rd level support for this tool
- Various run activities like deployment, maintenance of various environments or fixing defects
- Involvement in the implementation of new features and enhancements in the Market data area
- Involvement in the full testing cycle, especially unit, regression, and UAT testing
- Creation of accurate and relevant documentation
- Development of interfaces towards several other Asset Management applications
- Knowledge and adherence to standard SwissRe policies and governance procedures in the technology and AM area
- (After certain time) proficiency in standard SwissRe technologies relevant to the role (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server and PowerCenter)
- Close interaction with the Business Analysts for Asset Control as well as the users of the application
- Active Part in a project to modernize our IT landscape around Market- Static- and Reference Data.
- Occasionally off-hours and weekend support

- Any other ad hoc tasks as required from time to time

- Knowledge with ETL tools like Informatica

- Good command of English (both verbal and written), knowledge of German is an asset
