Job description, responsibilities and duties
This is an opportunity for a leader already experienced in both people management and service delivery who is able to handle dynamic multilateral business environment within our fast-growing insurance business line.
Responsibilities of the role are divided into two areas:
A) Service Delivery
- Manage workload and capacity for the assigned underwriting teams, providing triage of work across the Business Services Underwriting Support Team.
- Act as key contact for supported regions regarding quality of work provided and workload monitoring.
- Monitor that agreed standards of service and quality (SLAs) are met by the team.
- Support the further delegation of work from CorSo Business Services.
- Assist the Business Services Expert in addressing underwriting questions, concerns and complaints.
B) Leadership
- Responsible for the performance management process for the team.
- Collaborate with Business Services Lead and Onshore/Offshore Manager to assess training needs as well as training progress of the Underwriting Support team.
- Assist in the development of training materials as needed.
- Lead and collaborate on the development/maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures, system and tool enhancements, and testing/piloting changes to improve and standardize/optimize processes.
- Assume responsibility and actively manage small projects, and participate on projects, as assigned.
- Attend meetings, seminars and programs to learn about new processes and guidelines, learn new skills, and stay updated with underwriting support functions.
- Assist in determining staffing requirements including interviewing, hiring and training for new hires.
- Actively contribute to team the spirit.
- Coach and motivate the team to make sure that they fulfill their potential and provide effective support in line with the guidelines.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with people in a multi-cultural environment.
- Accountable to ensure self and team delivery of timely and accurate business processing also during peak times.
