Manager - Supply Chain Transport Desk

Objective of the function:
 
* Create a competitive advantage in supply chain and logistics costs through transport network design and visibility, standardized freight order-to-pay processes through a transport management system (TMS)

* Coordination of the Eastern-European regional transport desk team and the TMS systems back-office (strategic  transport desk)

 
Requirements:
 

• Very good knowledge of English, Slovak and/or German is a plus
• Analytical person, good with data
• Educational level: university or equivalent through experience
• Experience with SCM and preferably with logistics/transportation, networking and consolidation
• Experience with SCM operations (has had plant logistic managerial position)
• People management experience (leading team)
• Affinity with IT, systems; knowledge of MRP and systems processes is a must; knowledge of TMS and systems processes is a plus
• MS office (xls, ppt)
• understanding of finance/controlling

 

* Main responsibilities:
 
+ Manage the design and implementation of the European transport network in order to find synergies and reduction of transport costs for the European plants within the responsible region

+ Translate the SCM strategy, BBP and Transport Network Design into actions/guidelines/requirements and develop/provide training and documentation for SCM and related functions

+ Coordinate, monitor and control to guarantee correct execution of the transport management system -TMS with the systems back-office team and though the external parties helpdesks and external/internal process and systems development

+ Monitor and control improvement projects/savings/operational KPI’s of Transport desk

+ People management of the EE transport desk team

+ Close cooperation and alignment with the WE transport desk team and freight clearing team

+ Translate the SCM strategy, BBP and Packaging Standardization/Development into actions/guidelines/ requirements and develop/provide training and documentation for SCM and related functions mainly from systems perspective
