Global IT Purchasing Manager

* Responsible for effectively performing IT Procurement for a specific "IT Commodity" for all Business Units of JCI.
* Participates as an active contributor to the Global IT Procurement Team to share knowledge, pursue improvements to overall team operations and morale and to set cross team objectives and priorities.
* Participates in the definition of the Global IT Commodity strategy and interacts with all IT procurement and other Indirect Procurement team members to optimize usage of global agreements ensuring leverage from existing agreements and supplier relationships globally and enforcement of Global standards.
* Responsible to execute Purchasing functions in compliance with global and regional initiatives.
* Responsible to build sound relationships with suppliers and partners (select group of suppliers).
* High degree of responsibility associated with a wide degree of creativity and latitude on major sourcing decisions.
* Develop relationship with IT Procurement peers in other enterprises to strengthen market knowledge.

* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Computer Sciences or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
* A minimum of 10 years of commercial/procurement management/IT experience,  5 to 7  years with strong experience in purchasing IT Hardware, Software and Services, Contract Management and Vendor-Management with additional experience in multi-cultural, global organizations, preferably in the top Fortune 100 grouping
* Broad experience in developing partnerships.
* Must have extensive exposure to Global IT sourcing activities.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal day to day supervision or guidance.
* Requires situational confidence to resolve issues while maintaining a professional demeanor.
* Agile and capable negotiator.
* Proven quality focus in providing internal customer solutions.
* Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and to lead others in a directed effort to complete purchasing activities.
* Must be self-directed, self-supporting and have high-energy work performance.
* Proven ability to mentor others in the purchasing, internal relationship and partnership with selected suppliers.
* Strong communication and presentation skills and a proven ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization.
* Fluent in English and German
