Regional Master Instructor

Primary Purpose:  Theregional Operations Academy Master Instructor is a key member of the JohnsonControls Operations Academy.  She/he will be responsible for creating andimplementing a system to identify, train, and qualify regional & local SMEinstructors across a single region for the Johnson Controls manufacturingenvironment.  He/she will also beresponsible for training newly identified Manufacturing Excellence BusinessPartners within a region.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Within assigned region, implement aTrain-The-Trainer (TTT) program to qualify local and regional Subject MatterExperts as capable to deliver specified Operations Academy courses.

* Train existing and new Business Partners toconduct second party plant assessments per the JCMS Maturity Model.

* Lead virtual team of regional SME Instructionalresources.

* Work with Plant Managers, Ops Directors, andGMOC leadership to identify and schedule training delivery resources for allJCMS learning deliveries within assigned region.

* Supervise and/or audit region manufacturingtraining to ensure consistent delivery of all JCMS training within assignedregion – One Johnson Controls Way.

* Contribute to cross-regional Ops Academytraining delivery initiatives.

* Work with the Regional Learning manager toidentify potential Subject Matter Experts to deliver regional and localtraining.

* Help to enforce instructional quality standardsfor regional and local instructors.

* Maintain accurate records of qualified SMEtrainers across assigned region for the manufacturing organization.

* Participate with the Regional Learning Managerin qualifying local SMEs to provide local training.

* Partner with the Learning Program Manager toensure learning materials support the TTT model and regional needs.

* Plan and execute regional TTT learning events tomaintain required pool of qualified JCMS Instructors.

* Execute and facilitate region-wide training eventsaccording to the developed curriculum

* Assist in level three evaluations of regionallydelivered training

* Provide expertise in the creation of newperformance interventions where applicable

* Track certification credentials of regional instructorswhere needed

+ Bachelor’s degree in adult education, business,engineering, or technical education with Masters Degree preferred.

+ Six or more years of experience leadingand qualifying technical trainers required.

+ Experience in creating and maintaininglarge amounts of data.

+ Global experience/responsibilities preferred.  

+ Demonstrated skill working cross culturally.

+ Demonstrated people and change leadershipcapability.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

+ Strong facilitation skills.
+ Ability to travel regionally.
