SC&T CoE Territory Optimization and Maintenance Specialist Job Description Job Title: SC&T CoE Territory Optimization and Maintenance Specialist Department: SC&T CoE Support Territories: IMT/GMT Employment type: Full-time employment Reports to: SC&T CoE Manager Job Objective: Employees in this role act as a delegate for sales managers to update and maintain the territories throughout the year on both Deployment & Maintenance phase. These specialists provide end-to-end execution of the territory set up in the territory tool. Such as adding/removing sellers as per requests, adding/updating territory assignments, elements based on direction from the sales managers or brand focals in defining territories for the sellers via territory optimization, also manage plan and execute each deployment based on directions from WW & GMU leaders. To give more insight of the territory data, the territory specialist will be providing standard reports & business analytics reports on territory for more accurate understanding of where sellers are assigned, support sales resource optimization and consistent territory assignments which in turns improves and helps in accurate quota setting. The Territory Specialist will use Cognos/Brio/Excel to deliver the above reporting requirement. Job Details: 1. Provide support and data entry for IBM Sales Model tool for territory set up. 2. Maintain the territory database to keep them up to date. 3. Design Territory & sellers related reports, scorecards and dashboards. 4. Analyze & quality check of data using Cognos, Brio, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. 5. Provide ad-hoc and regular analytical support to the Sales Coverage & Transformation leaders and sales managers by the way of alerts, deep-dives and data cleansing. 6. Conduct regular interlocks with IMT/GMU stake holders and advisors. 7. Conduct education to sales managers or Brands focals & help them provide quality data for upload. People in the role will be performing 80% administration activities (handled through IBM systems, tools and processes) and 20% communication/relationship (by Notes and phone). SC&T CoE Territory Optimization and Maintenance Specialist job role skill set: 1. Acquire knowledge of IBM Sales Model program 2. Use IBM Sales Model – SC&T tools, systems and processes 3. Acquire knowledge of IBM Coverage Model 4. Acquire knowledge of IBM & Brand/LOB strategies 5. Use problem solving principles 6. Acquire analytical and decision making skills 7. Perform quantitative analysis of sales information 8. Use Change Management 9. Use IBM standard processes 10. Acquire knowledge of sales strategies, concepts and methodologies 11. Acquire collaboration and teaming techniques 12. Acquire effective communication and interpersonal skills 13. Perform time management 14. Acquire optimum utilization of BI (Business Intelligence tools) for query and reporting tools 15. Acquire knowledge of Sales Resource Alignment process and understand tools such as TOP & FMS Minimum qualification: • Graduate or equivalent degree/Relevant experience in lieu of Degree Technical skills: • Intermediate Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Powerpoint • Knowledge on Cognos and Brio • Project Management/Execution skills • Data mining and data analytical skills Language skills • English fluent in spoken and written Additional requirements • Ambitious • Ability to communicate with various levels of management • Ability to cope with deadlines • Flexibility and adaptability to change • Results driven • Strong communicator • Strong interpersonal skills • Strong quantitative/analytical skills |
