We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Data and Information Governance team. This role focuses on enhancing data quality and improving confidentiality and access management practices. You will play a critical role in documenting and analyzing data flows, identifying areas for improvement, and supporting training efforts.
Your role As a Data Governance Specialist, your main responsibilities will involve: Data Quality:
Document the as-is data inventory for strategic data elements, including data definitions, sources, and flows across systems.
Collaborate on defining requirements for data quality KPIs, reporting mechanisms, and root cause analyses of data quality issues.
Support the identification of solutions for data quality improvements based on analysis of end-to-end data flows.
Confidentiality and Access Management:
Analyze existing confidentiality and access management practices for structured and unstructured data.
Support the development of business requirements for confidentiality, including need-to-know principles and confidentiality flagging.
Contribute to training and awareness efforts on confidentiality and access management for shared folders and unstructured data.
Your Skills and Experience As a Data Governance Specialist, your skills and experience will ideally include:
Required Skills
Strong analytical skills, particularly in data and data-flow analysis.
Knowledge of data governance and best practices around data quality and confidentiality.
Familiarity with SQL, Python, Power BI, or similar tools.
Effective communication skills for engaging with both technical and business audiences.
Strong documentation skills with high attention to detail.
Additional Skills
Presentation and training abilities.
Creative problem-solving and a proactive approach to challenges.
Knowledge of AI-driven data management solutions is a plus.
Experience with cloud environments is advantageous.
