Developing server-side applications, APIs, and databases, while optimizing backend systems for scalability, performance, and reliability in support of insurance industry products and services.

Developing server-side applications, APIs, and databases, while optimizing backend systems for scalability, performance, and reliability in support of insurance industry products and services.
Your role
As a Backend Developer, your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:
- Design and develop server-side applications and APIs
- Develop and maintain databases and data models for efficient data storage and retrieval
- Optimize backend systems for scalability, performance, and reliability
- Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration of user interfaces with backend systems
- Write and maintain unit tests to ensure code quality and maintainability
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues to ensure smooth operations of backend systems
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and technology advancements in the field of backend development.
As a Backend Developer, your skills and experience will ideally include:
- At least 4 years of experience in backend development
- Proficiency in database technologies such as MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL
- Expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, TypeScript or Node.js
- Knowledge of web development frameworks such as Spring, Django, React or Express.js
- Knowledge of working with API Management technology such as Azure APIM or Mulesoft
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Experience with CI/CD including version control systems such as Git
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in working with Agile methodology
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
