Job description, responsibilities and duties

We offer an exciting opportunity to work in the Solvency II Centre of Excellence (CoE) supporting the EU based subsidiaries of the Group with their regulatory capital calculation and reporting under the SII regime. You will be a member of a team of business analysts located in Zurich and Bratislava, working in close collaboration with legal entities, other teams in Group Risk Management, as well as in other departments of the Group such as Finance and Actuarial. 

Are you keen to work in a stimulating, challenging and international environment? As a Capital and Reporting Analyst within SII CoE, you will support the development and production of the standard model and the Quantitative Reporting Templates (QRTs) for the European entities  of the Zurich Group, and more specifically you will: 
  • Review regulatory updates and assess the impact for the standard model and QRT reporting
  • Communicate changes to the content and format of regulatory requirements to the relevant Group functions  and Legal Entities
  • Specify and test the implementation of regulatory changes and general improvements to the SII standard model application and reporting tool, such as change in the parameters and methodology for the capital calculation, introduction of new reports or enhancements to the data flow and validations
  • Validate model results
  • Support and coordinate Group functions and Legal Entity teams during the quarterly and annual production of QRTs
  • Provide timely feedback to user requests
  • Support the preparation and analysis of the SII results
  • Update process and methodology documentation, and reporting manuals
  • Other operational tasks that will require the candidate to be flexible, learn quickly and be agile

Personality requirements and skills

As a Capital and Reporting Analyst – Solvency II, your skills and experience will ideally include: 
  • University degree in Finance, Actuarial or equivalent.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in the finance industry, ideally in insurance
  • Experienced in modeling and/or reporting processes including supporting IT processes
  • IFRS knowledge and/ or understanding financial and insurance capital models is a plus
  • Programming skills (R, VBA or similar) and/or experience with PowerBI seen as an asset
  • Pragmatic problem solver with a hands-on attitude that can deal effectively with ambiguity
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Effective communicator with a pronounced focus on customer, quality and time.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluent written and spoken English
