Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for a person to help the team as Platform Manager for Commercial Insurance. We are team of 4 that are managing all IT delivery to selected EMEA countries (France, Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, South Africa and Bahrain, managing key Zurich suppliers to deliver IT services to all users in the countries, overall around 800 Users. 

Our team members are based in UK, Slovakia and Netherlands but closely working with Swiss headquarters and the selected countries in Europe. 

As a MS Windows Platform Manager, your main responsibilities will involve: 
  • Follow procedures and quality standards, monitoring these against agreed targets.
  • Manage full QA Lifecyle for global software components, coordinating testing, profile updates
  • Support incident and problem management process with strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Identify and follows up on actions needed to address performance/quality issues.
  • Build relationships with internal IT service providers and identify gaps where IT services do not meet the business service levels (performance & quality) and recommend actions to close the gaps.
  • Participate in Project for the selected EMEA Countries
  • Support creation of Software packages in coordination with business and supplier. This includes documentation, coordinate with supplier, test, catalogue management)
  • Manage small, medium and large scale SW and policy deployments
  • Create and maintain custom reports using available tools – Nexthink, Intune
  • Support change management compliance and approval process.
  • Support vulnerability management & security compliance review processes, including reporting and actions.

University education (Bachelor's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

As a MS Windows Platform Manager, your skills and experience will ideally include:  

Technical
  • Windows System Engineer with very good knowledge of MS Intune / O365 / Virtualization
  • Working knowledge of Cloud platforms such as Entra ID and Azure
  • PowerBI reporting would be a bonus
  • Nexthink or any other monitoring knowledge 
Softskills
  • The candidate will be in close contact with the business therefore
  • Must be collaborative, approachable
  • Able to set realistic expectations
  • Able to prioritize work and co-ordinate activities
  • A hands-on personality with the proven ability to take on and affect change
  • Effective prioritization of tasks 
Languages
  • Fluent in English is a must
  • Any other language of the selected countries above is a plus 
Certification

Preferred        
  • ITIL Foundation/Intermediate certification or equivalent
  • Endpoint Administrator 
Experience
  • 2 or more years are required in the field of IT Service Management
  • Working knowledge of Windows Modern management: Intune
  • Experience based on best practice frameworks such as ITIL or COBIT
  • Working knowledge of Cloud platforms such as Entra ID and Azure
  • Experience with Time and Task management techniques ensuring no tasks are forgotten or not done within the required time
