Zurich are currently recruiting for a Lead Cloud Solution Architect ( Azure). The role of Lead Cloud Solution Architect operates in the Cloud Enablement Office (CEO) team within our larger Cloud Centre of Enablement (CCoE) group. The CCoE is a cross-functional team responsible for developing and managing the cloud strategy, governance, and best practices that the rest of the organization can leverage to transform the business using the cloud. This role has a particular emphasis on providing architectural guidance on Azure services to our internal teams and to our global internal customer base. Key focus areas will include requirements analysis, solutioning and stakeholder engagement, recognising the value of our Cloud products to our internal customers.

The CEO team is recognised as the conduit for internal customers of Zurich’s multi-cloud platform to accelerate cloud adoption across the business and manage the roadmap for cloud migrations. The CEO product portfolio spans Cloud Advisory & Enablement, FinOps, Risk & Compliance and Cloud Education. The Lead Cloud Solution Architect (Azure) role would appeal to a person who enjoys variety and developing opportunities within an evolving global function. 

As a part of the CEO team delivering across the CEO and Cloud product portfolio your responsibilities will include: 

• Provide expertise on all Azure platform constructs and services, helping internal stakeholders to gain clarity on the solutioning of applications that are migrating, new or re-architecting.
• Reducing manual effort by the introduction of automation though programmatic means using any of the following coding elements – Python, Terraform or Cloud Formation, API integration
• Maintain a JIRA based backlog for the Advisory & Enablement function within the CEO team
• Manage stakeholders and multiple initiatives across the cloud product portfolio in a trusted advisor capacity
• Continuous alignment with other CCoE Product teams where required to ensure continuous development of an iterative cloud roadmap to plan for ongoing changes to services\platforms as technologies emerge and new features are requested by users
• Support the definition and development of the KPIs and reporting structures to demonstrate how cloud services align with the business objectives
• Maintain a progressive relationship with Zurich’s third-party suppliers
• Develop and promote an automation culture in Zurich
• Proactive technical focus and customer engagements
• Show initiative, own issues, and take on challenges on behalf of CEO & CCoE
• Become familiar with wider IT, CCoE Services and processes
• Become familiar with and adhere to Zurich security and architecture policies.
