Job description, responsibilities and duties

In this role, you will be mainly responsible for planning and forecasting during finance cycles for IT operations area. You will be a key player in delivering summarized organization finance planning/forecasting and its standard monthly reporting. In general, the finance process is set, but as it has some manual steps you will be also asked to work on improvements and optimizations as well as collaborate on possible automation ideas. As this finance role will be supporting IT operations area, you might support operational colleagues with other cross-operational activities and gather a lot of operational expertise. 

As a Data & BI Finance Operations Specialist, your main responsibilities will include: 
  • Preparation of finance plan for operations, dealing with finance data of teams/components involved in the planning process (Platforms, Developers, Infrastructure, Licences, etc.).
  • Regular review of plan during forecast cycles, dealing with finance data of teams/components involved in the review process (Platforms, Developers, Infrastructure, Licences, etc.).
  • Preparation or support on finance reporting preparation for specific operational areas
  • Continuous Improvement of planning and forecasting process on regular basis
  • Support the Project hand-over process into operations from finance perspective
  • Contribute to the service management strategy and definition of reusable frameworks

•    Location(s): Bratislava or Kosice co-working space
    Hybrid working: It would be nice to meet you in the office 2-3 times a week, if you live close by. We are also open to hear your preference to work from home more often

Personality requirements and skills

As a Data and BI Finance Operations Specialist, your skills and experience will ideally include: 
  • 5+ years of experience in finance area, preferably IT operations
  • Solid experience in budgeting and forecasting process, preferably IT operation 
  • Experience with managing invoices
  • University level education or equivalent, preferably finance
  • Ability to work effectively in a global organization across different geographies, work on deadline schedule and to manage ambiguity
  • Communication/presentation skills and Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Very good experience with Excel
  • Additional skills in ITIL operational processes (Change Management, Incident Management) or technical knowledge in BI (PowerBI, PowerApps, MSSQL, Atlassian etc.) is beneficial
