This is a unique opportunity for you to solve business challenges by applying variety of analytic techniques to complex data sets. How? By joining our Data & Analytics team supporting Zurich North America business as our new Data Scientist.
As a Data Scientist, your main tasks will involve:
As a Data Scientist, your main tasks will involve:
- Understand business problems and structure analytical approaches to solve them
- Prepare data sets (internal and external, structured as well as unstructured) needed to test hypotheses and build models
- Generate distinctive risk insights that deliver improved business results
- Build models and other analytical solutions using NLP, image recognition, GLMs, decision trees, clustering, etc. and implement them
- Monitor performance of models in production and help assess their business impact by building monitoring apps

As a Data Scientist, your skills and experience will ideally include:
- University education (Master's degree)
- 1+ years of experience in Data Science or similar area
- Experience with programming and data tools such as R, Python or SQL
- Experience preparing data and/or developing insights for use in business decisions
- Passion for data
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially the ability to translate technical results for business audiences
- Strong problem-solving skills and passion for data
- English – B2 or better
