Group Claims is recruiting for a motivated Data Analyst, passionate about data solutions and willing to enhance our data capability and support the business in generating insights from data.  

As a business data analyst you will closely work with business stakeholders to understand their needs and how the data could solve their problems. With a structured approach you will participate to make evolve, you will answer to the different data requests by either using the existing data solutions, proposing extensions of them or find new solutions in close collaboration with the rest of the team and our Group Technology department. 

With an agile mindset, you will also support the project and data system portfolio management. 

You will actively participate in helping our team and the key stakeholders mastering our Claims data by working closely with Group Claims Data System Lead and Group Technology Data Architects on having up to date and value generating data models, data flows and Group Claims data systems’ architecture.   

Finally, you will also support the day-to-day activities of our Global Claims Data & Insight team, shaping and providing a better use of data for our team and our key stakeholders.

As Technical Data Analyst, your main responsibilities will include:  
  • Based on business requests and problems to solve:
    • Gather and analyse data from multiple sources
    • Propose new solutions and/or solutions extensions
  • Support data models, data flows and data systems’ architecture definition and documentation
  • Continuously working to support, streamline and improve processes, maximising the quality and speed of work undertaken. Particularly for the following processes:
    • Request management
    • Project Portfolio management
    • Group claims data systems’ follow up (service management)
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture.

Personality requirements and skills


As Technical Data Analyst, your skills and experience will ideally include: 
  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, information management, or similar.
  • Strong analytical problem solver with critical thinking skills. 
  • Proven experience in data analysis.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following:
    • SQL
    • VBA
    • Power BI
  • Nice to have technical skills, but not a pre-requisite:
    • R
    • Python
    • PowerApps
    • Informatica tools (Axon)
    • Azure Data Factory & Azure Data Lake
  • Previous experience or knowledge of the following area is a plus:
    • Agile project management (SCRUM, MS Planner, MS Project, JIRA or AzureDevOps)
    • Data Modeling (Erwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, …) 
    • Insurance (Claims management ideally)
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
