Within the IPZ Reinsurance Constructs and Accounting team, we are seeking for a specialist to focus on international reinsurance transactions with an end-to-end view. In this role you will coordinate with regional Zurich offices to ensure accurate reinsurance transactions via the SAP/ZIRIS system and you will be responsible for the reconciliation and settlement process of these transactions with external reinsurers.

As a Specialist in Reinsurance and Construct Setup, your main responsibilities will include:

Ensure the correct set-up of Captive, CoReinsurance and Facultative Reinsurance structures within the SAP/ZIRIS system.Timely and correct reconciliation of technical bookings with related cash items
Execution of technical bookings and related payments
Perform analysis on existing SAP/ZIRIS reinsurance structures and corrections as required
Clarifications related to cash clearing for any overdue un-cleared items.
Monitor progress and report on delays, develop action plans to reduce impact on closing processes where required.
Data analysis and interpretation in order to identify patterns and proactively provide solutions.
Provide excellent service to internal and external stakeholders and maintain good relationships with them.
Active participation at project work and training initiatives
Project work, training and occasional travel are a part of this function.

Personality requirements and skills

As a Specialist in Reinsurance and Construct Setup, your skills and experience will ideally include:

2 or more years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry
Completed academic education on Bachelor’s degree level or similar
A good understanding of international program business and knowledge of SAP FS-CD is a strong asset
Very good analytical skills to combine the relevant information, ability to manage multiple priorities
Team player with strong intercultural and communication skills, ability to drive change.
Fluent in English, any further language is an asset (French, Spanish)
Advanced MS Office skills, especially MS Excel and PowerPoint
