Our team mission is to make sure mathematical models used by Zurich reflect reality as good as possible and without any systemic errors. However, the catch is that these models are often too big, complex and constantly developed for decades. They are spread across different software platforms, countries and they deal with various intricate topics. But luckily at the end of the day they all share same core principles of actuarial science. Thanks to that fact, we have decided to tackle this great challenge by building our own pioneering software which would serve as academically robust actuarial modelling framework designed for model validation. So far, we have done a great job but there is a still long way to go.

Here is when you come to the scene with your bright mind and advanced python skills. You will investigate the guts of our software to understand where we are. Listen to product owners to understand where we want to be. Figure out how to get there and implement new solutions. Coordinate other developers to help you along the way and support users when they get lost. Maintain the DevOps infrastructure and keep the order by performing peer-reviews of code, writing useful tests and documentation.
