Python developer / Data scientist  


Become a part of Life Model Risk Management team. We provide support for independent validation across Zurich life insurance models from all around the world. Help us build and maintain our own Python-based actuarial modelling framework. This complex role offers a great chance to deal with agile software development and operations from A to Z and learn a lot about financial modelling as well.

 


Main responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of modelling framework

  • Coordinate developers and work together with product owner to drive the development plan

  • Help design and implement new features

  • Write unit, integration and regression tests

  • Write documentation

  • Maintain the DevOps infrastructure (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Sphinx)

  • Support software users


 

Requirements:

  • Master degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Finance/Computer Science or Quantitively science (Physics, etc).

  • Extensive experience using programming languages and modelling platforms, in particular Python.

  • Experience working in structured software development and dev/ops processes (code reviews, automated testing, continuous integration).

  • Comfortable working on Linux servers.

  • Project experience as well as strong communication and relationship building capabilities

  • Fluent written and spoken English is a must.

 


Minimum salary offered for this position is 2400EUR. Final offer and other pay elements depend on your requirement and experience.
