Actuarial Capital Management Analyst 

 

The Zurich Life Insurance Company (ZLIC) is offering a permanent role as an actuarial capital management analyst within the actuarial team. The position is open to fresh graduates and anyone in the first years of an actuarial career. 

 

In this role, you will work in close collaboration with the actuarial capital management team in Switzerland. Your contribution will be fundamental to the continued success of the Zurich Life Insurance Company, a major life insurance provider in Zurich’s flagship Swiss market. 

 

This is an excellent opportunity to build expertise in capital management and economic valuation techniques, and gain experience of regulatory reporting under the modern Swiss regulatory regime. You will be a part of a team instrumental in assessing and projecting solvency and recommending the amount of dividends. You will maintain robust, disciplined and efficient reporting and control processes as the foundation for business insight in a rapidly changing environment. 

 

Your main activities will include: 

  • Timely and accurate delivery of tied assets and local statutory solvency positions 
  • Assessment of dividend paying capacity 
  • ORSA and SST reporting, related controls, documentation and process enhancements 
  • Maintenance, development and efficiency improvements for related capital management processes, systems – including link to data providers and their systems 

 

Your Skills and Experience  

Your skills and experience will ideally include: 

  • Master's degree in a numerate subject (e.g. mathematics, physics, financial economics, statistics and / or actuarial science) 
  • Happy working to deadlines and within a strong control environment 
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and oral) 
  • Eager to learn and develop, and pursue an actuarial qualification 
  • Enthusiastic team-player 
  • Comfortable working in a large multinational organization 
  • Primary work location is Bratislava. Salary offer starts on 1400EUR in gross. Other pay elements depend on your experience.
