Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

The role and responsibilities will primarily include the following areas of work:

Data stewardship
• work closely with pricing actuaries, data & analytics team and partner countries to establish and maintain pricing datasets
• supporting and overseeing the data quality work
• process & extract with central data lake capabilities to support analytical analyses
Statistical & Actuarial Analyses
• support the elaboration and completion of various pricing analyses, including ratemaking and maintenance of technical price models
• support the review and improvement of existing and new rating methodologies, portfolio pricing analyses across commercial insurance markets.
Pricing maintenance
• support the Commercial Insurance pricing team to maintain and annual update of the central pricing platforms, including the pricing models calibration, implementation and subsequent release & operational management.
Pricing Tools
• support the implementation, maintenance and improvement of existing and new pricing tools that are managed centrally across the commercial insurance segment
• ensure maintenance of technical documentation and support development of guidance and training material for the underwriting community
Business reporting & pricing monitoring
• responsibility for administering the reporting capabilities from the pricing models,
• support completion of pricing performance and trends analyses and deliver those insights back to Product and Market facing teams.
Portfolio strategy and modelling
• providing additional technical support to the central team and/or countries to support completion of portfolio profitability reviews and portfolios scenario analyses to help the formulation of UW strategies & tactical plans.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• Master degree or equivalent (university degree)
• Mathematics / Statistical / Data Science background education
• Seeking to follow actuarial studies / data science studies
• Fluency in English
• Advanced computer skills (knowledge of R is an advantage)
