Job description, responsibilities and duties

  • Facilitating the delivery of the development work done and by facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution using Agile as a framework i.e. in particular without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
  • Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
  • Guiding the teams on how to get the most out of self-organisation and improving transparency.
  • Assessing the Agile [or Scrum] Maturity of the teams and organisation and coaching the teams to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for them and the organisation.
  • Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, negative consequences, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving.
  • Being the first to notice differences and issues as they arise and elevate them to management.
  • Coordinating across the application and platform team as appropriate, including coordinating the release cycles across the application teams.
  • Co-ordination across 3 scrum teams and in 2 locations (Zurich and Bratislava).
  • Develop relationship with the Product Owners and an understanding of their business and the uses to which the business process RMP applications are put.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Master's degree)

Personality requirements and skills

  • Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least one year (ideally two) for a software development team which was diligently applying Agile/Scrum/Kanban principles, practices, and theory.
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Broader exposure and experience with other Agile techniques, for example XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing etc.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills,
  • Strong facilitation and mediation skills,
  • Enthusiastic with high-energy levels,
  • Understanding of software code development and programming,
  • Very good English language skills.
