Job description, responsibilities and duties

In this role, you will work in close collaboration with the actuarial assumptions team in Switzerland. Your contribution will be fundamental to the continued success of the Zurich Life Insurance Company, a major life insurance provider in Zurich’s flagship Swiss market.
This is an excellent opportunity to build expertise in setting actuarial assumptions for a variety of life products, including methodological review and monitoring of experience. You will be a part of a team instrumental in maintaining robust, disciplined and efficient processes as the foundation for business insight in a rapidly changing environment.
Your main activities will include:
  • Running the regular assumptions setting process, related controls, documentation and process enhancements
  • Regular experience monitoring and statistical analysis
  • Support maintenance, development and efficiency improvements for related actuarial processes, systems and links to data providers and their systems

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Personality requirements and skills

Your skills and experience will ideally include:
  • Master's degree in a numerate subject (e.g. mathematics, physics, financial economics, statistics and / or actuarial science)
  • Happy working to deadlines and within a strong control environment
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and oral)
  • Eager to learn and develop, and pursue an actuarial qualification
  • Enthusiastic team-player
  • Comfortable working in a large multinational organization
