Job description, responsibilities and duties

As an application SME, you will be responsible for assuring the operability, supportability, availability and stability of services currently in production and new services being generated by projects. You will be responsible for administration and support of Microsoft Team Foundation Server platform, ITIL Problem Management, and ITIL Service Transition processes. You will work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Architects and Operations Team in supporting and driving infrastructure transformation programs to achieve landscape simplification through initiatives such as Automation, DevOps, Containers and Cloud. English language skills are required for fluid communications with various technical and business stakeholders.

As an Application SME your main responsibilities will involve:
*  Understanding the IT operational environment
*  Understanding the IT Application landscape
*  Responsible for Problem Management service
*  Responsible for Infrastructure Requisition process
*  Administration and Support of Microsoft Team Foundation Server platform
*  Providing leadership and technical support for major IT transformation programs
*  Supporting transition of new or changed service from project to operations
*  Reviewing and validating detailed technical design of services
*  Performing quality review of operational documentation such as runbooks
*  Driving service performance and availability improvements
*  Driving new technology standards, guidelines and best practices such as Automation, DevOps, Cloud, Containers

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or specific relevant experience
* Good experience as DevOps Engineer, implementing Continuous Integration and Deployment using TFS and/or Octopus Deploy
* Collaboration is in your DNA (between Operations and Development teams)
* Exposure to Insurance or similar Business would be an asset
* General Project Management skills are an asset
* English: Fluent spoken and written, working language (meetings and conferences, technical explanations, documentation),
* Microsoft Windows Server 2012 or 2016,
* Microsoft Team Foundation Server Administrator, Build and Release,
* DevOps and Continuous Integration and Deployment using TFS and/or Octopus Deploy,
* Scripting skills (Powershell),
* Microsoft SQL Server database 2012 or 2014
