Job description, responsibilities and duties

The role will provide an opportunity to learn and support Global Actuary application. The SME’s have a wide remit covering small change, project implementation and level 2 support for BAU escalations.

SME’s are ideally placed to develop a strong profile in the organisation working with the technical support teams in IT. It is an opportunity to develop knowledge and expertise within IT delivery, SME’s gain exposure to both Service delivery and will learn about the ITIL model as well as project scoping and delivery utilising the Zurich project delivery framework.

This role is an ideal opportunity to learn and develop a broad breadth of BI tools, mainly MSSQL and Tableau and also to take ownership of delivery boosting your profile within the organisation. As well as the ability to make a difference from day 1 the SME role provides an ideal platform for ongoing career development within the Zurich organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
* Understand Actuaries’ processes and products and how they fit within the goals of the function or business unit.
* Perform quality review checks on Actuary applications.
* Support and review the documentation of functional specifications.
* Make recommendations for application performance improvements.
* Act as liaison between the Business and IT, as assigned.
* Support the implementation activities, troubleshooting system environmental issues and providing training as required.
* Perform impact analysis of application changes across various components, holding an end-to-end view of the system.
* Supporting 3rd Party Suppliers to resolve incidents and implement application changes.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

* Overall 3-5 years IT analytical experience,
* Latest experience of 2 years with MSSQL DB, Practical experience with SQL language (3 years),
* Experience with designing of SSIS packages and maintenance of SSIS packages (2 years),
* Be able to follow ITIL processes – incident management, change and request management, customer interaction,
* Any reporting experience, e.g., Tableaux is a bonus, Practical experience with VBA, .net is a bonus,
* Ability to work in multicultural environment, * Flexibility and ability to learn.
