Job description, responsibilities and duties

Zurich’s Internal Capital Model is an in-house developed methodology based on sophisticated mathematical and actuarial techniques and involves stochastic numerical simulations and data processing. The Internal Capital Model covers the Swiss Solvency Test, Solvency II, Zurich Economic Capital Model and Risk Based Return Measure. The ICM results are reported to the Swiss and Irish regulators and disclosed externally. 

You will be part of our development team responsible for implementation of Zurich’s Internal Capital Model. You will work closely with quantitative analysts in Group Risk Management located in Zurich and ICM Production team located in Bratislava. The objective of this role is to further develop the Internal Capital Model implementation and to assure its productive readiness.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

  * Minimum Bachelor´s degree in mathematics, computer science or similar field,
* 0-3 year experience in commercial software development,
* Good knowledge of application development,
* Experience in either of R / Python / Java / C,
* Willingness and desire to work in R,
* Understanding of capital modelling, statistics, numerical optimization is an asset,
* Ability to work effectively in a global organization, in a small team, under time pressure and to manage ambiguity.
