Your role

You will be responsible for carrying out the development and production of Life Replicating Portfolios for Zurich Group. As a Junior Risk Analyst your main responsibilities will involve:
• Assisting in valuation of financial instruments (including derivatives).
• Reviewing cash flow information received from all Life insurance units of the Zurich Group.
• Calibrating replicating portfolios for all Life insurance units within Zurich Group.
• Analysing replicating portfolios to choose the most optimal one.
• Increasing automation of production and review processes.
• Supporting maintenance of existing Excel and Matlab based tools.
• Assisting in implementation of a control framework for development of production tools.
• Supporting miscellaneous projects in Global Life Actuarial.
Your Skills and Experience
As a Junior Risk  Analyst your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
• 2+ years of experience in Insurance, Banking, Investments, Risk
• Mathematical, Insurance, Actuarial or other quantitative degree
• English language communication skills, written and verbal
• Programming skills required (VBA, Matlab, SQL) – at least combination of 2
• Programming skills seen as plus (Python, C++, R)
• Experience with valuation of more advanced instruments is a plus (i.e. options, swaps, swaptions etc.)
• Understanding of optimisation methods is a plus
• Progress in professional qualification is a plus
