Commodity buyer - surface treatment

•Perform and lead sourcings for new and carry over projects according to the Sourcing Decision Process
•Make periodic visits to suppliers
•Support and lead annual cost reduction strategies (negotiation, GCS, VAVE) globally for suppliers in the
different part families
•Support and enable the development and implementation of the global part family strategy for surface
treatment, which includes deep analysis of the supply base capabilities, footprint and technology required to
support the specific part family needs
•Identify and develop suppliers with innovative technologies that can potentially reduce cost and increase our
competitiveness
•Interface with internal customers on critical issues as necessary
•Supplier lead Contact, coordination the commodity topics for the assigned suppliers, including accountability
for Business Plan fulfillment, capacity planning, contractual status, financial health monitoring, etc.
•Working with Puchasing tools like COPS, SWAT or MAPS to ensure the right datas in the system and following
the process
•Ownership of operational purchasing tasks in the field of responsibility (purchase orders, invoices, etc.)
