Commodity buyer

Commodity buyer to purchase cold forming parts:
◾ Investigates and selects sources in a timely manner through effective use of policies, procedures, and planning tools
◾ Tracks costs, negotiate and maintains agreements with suppliers
◾ Ensures that Scheduling Agreements, Purchase Orders, and other pricing policies are maintained and up to date
◾ Works on a timely basis to meet corporate and plant purchasing goals
◾ Works in cross-functional teams operating in a fast-paced environment
◾ Timely maintenance and updating of tracking tools
◾ Responsible for Supplier Selection and Supplier Assessment
◾ Performs Market researches/benchmarking
◾ Risk Management (e.g. adjust commodity strategy based on results/analysis)
◾ Cooperates in ZF commodity strategy
◾ Identifies potential cost savings and perform cost reduction actions (cost down projects, etc.), using VA/VE methods
◾ Other duties as it relates to this position
