We are looking for a candidate passionate about solving complex challenges at the intersection of 3D computer vision and robotics. We are seeking a Robotics Software Developer to be a pivotal part of our team, taking our state-of-the-art Vision Guided Robotics (VGR) solutions to the next level. This is a unique opportunity for a creative and analytical mind to dive deep into research and development, shaping the future of vision guided robotics.

You will take ownership of our powerful robotic intelligence software, a core component of our technology that is used to set up and provision robotic applications in the bin picking domain.

Reports to

Software Development Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to and shape all stages of our robotic intelligence software’s development, spanning research, design, and implementation.
• Design and implement advanced algorithms for robot guidance, collision avoidance, path planning.
• Collaborate with our world-class R&D team to integrate your solutions into our product portfolio.
• Develop and maintain high-quality, robust, and efficient code in C++ and Python.
• Contribute to our knowledge base by documenting your research, experiments, and results.

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with ROS and libraries providing robot motion planning (e.g. MoveIt)
• Proven programming experience in C++ and Python.
• Strong background in mathematics, computer science, physics, robotics, cybernetics or a related STEM field (M.S. or Ph.D. preferred).
• Solid understanding of the robotic control domain.
• Familiarity with topics like collision objects, virtual robot representation, joints, coordinate transformations.
• Ability to work in a Linux environment with Docker containers.
• A curious and analytical mindset, with a passion for solving challenging problems.
• Fluency in English.
