Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design product constructions (efficient in production and cost) according to specification described in Statement of work and feasibility with usage of YFAI BBP and BEP
• Design CAD-models and drawings in accordance with customer specific requirements and YFAI standards in coordination with Leader
• Support preparation of bill of material for the implementation in PLM
• Create engineering studies of concept, package, layout and kinematics
• Communicate with YFAI-internal interfaces/ departments including data transfer
•  Support coordination with customers and suppliers including data transfer
•  Support preparation of testing plans and reflect testing results in Parts Development
•  Respect Time schedule of project
•  Coordination, support and mentoring of Product Designers

Requirements

• University education (Master's degree)
• Min. 2 years of experience in Automotive -  plastic parts design development
• CATIA (Part design, Generative shape design, sketches, sections, partial models, global models, overall dimensions, tooling/assembly kinematics, package study)  
• PLM systems is an advantage   
• Update models based on technical feasibility studies - knowledge of plastics construction
• English - Upper intermediate (B2) /  German language is an advantage
• Technical thinking and new creative ideas for technical proposals
• Team player in the first place, communicative skills
