Senior Buyer, Indirect

Responsibilities

• Commodity strategy development and supply base optimization according to strategy
• Implement strategies and actions to achieve year-over year cost savings and rebates
• Negotiate and sign contracts with strategic suppliers.
• Lead and manage project teams on various engagements: strategy, negotiation support, business planning, process improvement, etc.
• Support appropriate purchase-to-pay (PTP) process
• Leverage volumes and common supplier sourcing
• Improve working capital by negotiating optimum payment terms
• Responsible for preparing & managing European RFQ and RFP
• Analyzing and negotiating supplier quotes, making sourcing recommendations
• Issuing Frame Agreements and Service Level Agreements (SLA)
• Resolving supplier performance and commercial issues
• Develop in-depth understanding of supplier cost drivers, and total cost of procurement
• Secure, accurate and timely reporting of monthly KPI
• Ability to build trust and lasting relationships with key stakeholders 
• Effective communicator with strong persuasion skills
• Measuring and evaluating supplier performance according to agreed KPI & SLA

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (masters preferred)
• An equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered
• Minimum 3-5 years of Purchasing experience (Indirect Services), Sales or Account Management 
• Proven track record of supplier negotiations
• Proficient with general office computer applications such as MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint. 
• Languages: fluent in English is a must
• Some travelling throughout Europe (plants, supplier visits)
• Strong team player & independent negotiator
• Result orientated working – ability to set goals with company objectives
• Analytical skills to solve daily issues and make smart decisions
• Strong data analysis skills to evaluate supplier offers and present results
• Worked in an international environment with exposure to different cultures
