Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Implementation, configuration and maintenance of Microsoft Azure and Office 365 services.
  • Manage identities, security and access control in the Azure Cloud.
  • Design, implementation and management of Azure-based solutions.
  • Integration of Office 365 services into existing business applications.
  • Monitoring and optimisation of Azure and Office 365 infrastructure.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Provide technical support and training to internal users.

Configuration and administration of Microsoft 365 services:

  • Setting up Exchange Online for email services.
  • Management of Microsoft Teams for team communication and collaboration.

Azure identity and access management:

  • Management of Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) for identity management.
  • Implementation of single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Configuration of access policies and authorisations.

Azure infrastructure management:

  • Provision and management of virtual machines (VMs) in Azure.
  • Configuration of network services such as virtual networks and VPNs.
  • Management of Azure Storage for data storage.

Azure security and compliance:

  • Implementing security policies and measures in Azure.
  • Monitoring security events and conducting audits.
  • Ensuring adherence to compliance requirements.

Automation:

  • Creating scripts and automating tasks with PowerShell or Azure CLI.

Troubleshooting and support:

  • Identifying and resolving issues in Microsoft 365 and Azure.
  • Providing technical support for users and teams.

Migration and upgrades:

  • Planning and executing migrations from on-premises systems to Microsoft 365 or Azure.
  • Performing upgrades and updates for services and applications.

Documentation and training:

  • Creating documentation for configurations, processes and policies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in implementing and managing Microsoft Azure and Office 365.
  • Knowledge of configuring Azure Active Directory and Office 365 security features.
  • Experience with integrating Office 365 services into enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of automating Azure resources using PowerShell or other scripting languages.
  • Understanding of cloud security practices and best practices.
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Certifications in Microsoft Azure and Office 365 are a plus.
