Job description:
The team is currently looking for Project Finance Specialist to monitor and prepare reports on all financial aspects of the assigned projects (mainly financed from LIFE and INTERREG schemes), manage the financial management structure of assigned projects and maintain all the necessary administration and financial project documentation, in accordance to standards and project requirements.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain all the necessary administration and financial project documentation, in accordance to WWF standards and requirements;
• Maintain the financial management structure of assigned project(s), in coordination with the financial officers of project partners;
• Responsible for permanent monitoring of all financial aspects of assigned project(s);
• Responsible for internal management of funds, expenditures, spending rates, budget shifts;
• Coordinate public procurement and tendering procedures where required;
• Collect documents for control;
• Maintain the financial management structure of assigned project(s);
• Coordinate the financial reporting with financial officers of project partners, to improve precision of budget against actual expenditures;
• Ensure that expenditures presented by all beneficiaries are invested in implementing the operation and correspond to the activities agreed between all the beneficiaries, and everything is in accordance with the documents provided by the managing authority;
• Closely collaborate with managers of assigned projects.

Requirements for the employee:
Candidates with education suit the position
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)
Educational Specialization
Business Administration, Accounting and Finance or equivalent degrees.
Language skills
Slovak - Proficiency (C2) and English - Upper intermediate (B2)
Other knowledge
Microsoft Office - Advanced
Microsoft Excel - Advanced

Experience in the position/sector
Reporting, Budgeting, International projects (LIFE, INTERREG)

Personality requirements and skills:
• At least 2 years of proven track record on budgeting, financial reporting for donors, work with auditors and other monitoring bodies;
• Experience on projects in an international environment. Experience with NGOs is preferable.
• Solid administrative and organizational skills;
• Strong financial acumen – uses budgeting skills, sound and practical financial management, and accounting principles to successfully run the admin department at reasonable costs and best value of money;
• Solid computer literacy;
• Proficient in Slovak and English language both reading, listening and oral and written communication;
• Good report-writing skills – to write effective reports, letters, and other documents both in English, local and legal language;
• Ability to work in an international environment and multinational team;
• Personal effectiveness and attention to detail;
• Ability to work in a team;
• Ability to work under pressure (tight deadlines) and positive attitude;
• Commitment to WWF’s mission and priorities, interest and motivation in the area of nature protection and sustainable development;
