Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

Active execution of the tests in the Codes & Safety  Laboratory and Forced Failure Laboratory. All the tests are carried out according to test procedures and IEC/EN standards. The goal is to test washers, dryers and washer-dryers, all the related components, data analysis and report creation. The mission is to verify the electrical and mechanical safety of the products, communicate with the UL certification body and test the products for GPO development projects. 

Responsibility for the testing of the washers, dryers and washer-dryers and all the related components and responsibility for the test results and process/method of testing in the laboratory.
Responsibility for all the operations related to the work in the laboratory.

Day to day:

Testing of the products or components.
Performs work related to testing of washing machines, dryers, and washer-dryers.
Performs operations, connections, and disconnections of the appliances to measuring systems and sensors.
Runs the appliances/components according to the test procedure.
Sets up and monitors the test.
Prepares appliances/components for the tests according to procedures.
Evaluate and analyze test data.
Creates reports.
Performs setting and monitoring of the test.
Communicates with R&D departments and teams.
Engages in R&D Lab activities.
Plans the test execution, test activities, and communication with requesters of tests.
Handles the appliances.
Works following ISO 17025.
Monitors calibration, updates the metrology database and assesses the uncertainty of test instrumentation.
Carries out the test according to IEC 60335.
Engages in Continuous Improvement Lab activities, 5S, and supports CI engineer.
Follows the Laboratory Quality manual of the laboratory.

Requirements:

High school graduate/ technical education / higher education:
Technical - Electrical or Mechanical
§21, §22 or higher: Electrotechnical
Practical experience, ideally in the testing lab: 
Product development or measurement and test instrumentation. 
English level: strong B1 or higher, active communication.
Very good technical and manual skills
Analytical skills and sense for details (precision)


Extra:
Operation of household appliances - is a plus

Knowledge of manufacturing processes - is a plus
