Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
• Develop the Production and propose initiatives for maintaining high standards of production operations to ensure that processes and deliveries conform to established customer and company quality and lean standards
• Actively identify actions and initiatives to constantly improve productivity, reduce cost and waste, monitor and improve equipment OEE
• Lead Continuous Improvement and participate on Improvement activities
• Interface and collaborate with all other departments to produce best quality product at least possible cost
• Ensure manufacturing readiness for new products launched (line preparation, team training, target definition, etc.)
• Define threshold and escalation of reaction modes to problems within Production area
• Participate to selection and recruitment of staff, ensure proper induction of newcomers
• Define training plan to increase team autonomy; ensure training and coaching of team members
• Conduct performance evaluations of staff as specified by company goals
• Ensure proper flow of information to and from direct reports: (e.g. regular information meetings, rapid cascade of critical information and of messages from management)
• Ensure discipline (work wear, break times, working hours…)
• Ensure the respect of safety instructions, policies and procedures
